State of Emergency

And in some cases, hazardous to your BLOG.

Having spent the better part of Saturday at the hospital with my dear mother, (who is fine now - in case you're wondering) and then spending the rest of the evening on the phone with siblings, (getting them caught up on details) it seems I have zero time left to dream up anything for my weekly blog.  So, therefore, I will show you my day in pictures.  (A bit lame, but hey, I am too tired to care tonight.)

The good thing about living in a small town - we didn't  have to wait to be put into a room.

Then came all the tests:

This screen is similar to what I watched most of the day:

The best part of the day was when the doctor came in and said all the tests were good and that we could head home.  Thank God.   I love you mom!

I'm pretty sure all of my lovely followers will forgive me for being less than entertaining today and you will all agree that the health of a loved one is far more important than writing the most riveting blog ever written... (which I had previously planned to do)  Oh sure, I could have waited until Sunday or Monday to create some eloquent piece...*cough*...but I can't stand putting things off.  Perhaps I will be so inclined to pen that award winning creation next week!
Or not.

Here is an interesting tidbit I found online regarding the medical field:

Full circle:
I have an earache...

2000 B.C. - Here, eat this root.

1000 A.D. - That root is heathen. Here, say this prayer.

1850 A.D. - That prayer is superstition. Here, drink this potion.

1940 A.D. - That potion is snake oil. Here, swallow this pill.

1985 A.D. - That pill is ineffective. Here, take this antibiotic.

2000 A.D. - That antibiotic is artificial. Here, eat this root.

Thanks for checking in!
